From the Rochester, MA Police Department:

When she left the house Tuesday evening to get an ice cream at the Robins Nest, Kalcey Cecca never expected that she would be hit by a passing motorist and end up being flown by helicopter to a Boston hospital for treatment.

We are happy to report that she is home and recovering.

Following several Facebook post about the accident, Rochester Police learned she was on her way for an ice cream that she never got.

So today at noon Rochester Police Sergeant Robert Small, Officer Sean Crook and Chief Paul Magee delivered 3 gallons of her favorite flavor as a surprise. Needless to say, she was thrilled.

Enjoy the ice cream Kalcey, we wish you a speedy read recovery!
