Grab your friends, classmates, neighbors and colleagues to form a Cleanup Team! Teams work together in areas that are always trashed, are a blight on our neighborhoods or harmful to wildlife. Come alone, join a Team or go the extra mile and sign up as a Team Captain, you can even recruit a friend or family member to be a Co-Captain.

Hosted by: Veterans Transition House
When: Saturday, August 19th from 8:30 – Noon
Where: Corner of Purchase & Willis Streets, New Bedford

How to Volunteer:

– It’s so easy, just pre-Register before the cleanup by clicking on Sign up Now!
or Call: 508.979.1493 (pre-registration is not required but sure helps with planning – and again it’s super easy!)
– On the Day of the cleanup: Sign up/check in at OCS Tent
– Check in starts at 8:30 am, sign in and get your stylin’ volunteer T-Shirt
– If you’re on a Team, please let us know! Find your Team Captain, that person is really important, you may also seek out your co-captain, of lesser stature sure, but still an important part of the Team.
– Have a yummy breakfast provided by our Host.
– While your munching, review the safety notes.
– Remember to fill you cool personalized re-usable water bottle before you check out your cleanup tools
– You can then move over to the logistics coordinator for your assignment (and he loves to tell people where to go, we’re are all alike!)

If you volunteered at a previous cleanup, please remember to wear your green volunteer tee shirt and bring back your reusable water bottle!
