New Bedford’s The Edge Seafood restaurant closes indefinitely

With little explanation, The Edge Seafood restaurant posted on their Facebook page on September 5th that they were “temporarily closed for reorganization.” That was their last Facebook post and they updated their hours with the same message. Their website also has the “temporarily closed for reorganization” text/image.

A fan notified us that as of today they were still closed:

“Yes, been closed for at least over a week. Tried to make reservations kat Wednesday for 8 people for noon. No answer & was advised “mailbox full.” Have gone by many times & all chairs are stacked on tables.”

This comes a month after Portobello restaurant in downtown New Bedford closed its doors for good.

The former Davy’s Locker location was sold in January 31, 2014.
