Sponsors of New Bedford’s Feast of the Blessed Sacrament announce “Clothing Drive”

The Club Madeirense S.S. Sacramento of New Bedford is pleased to announce a clothing drive to assist Child and Family Services, the Salvation Army, and local homeless shelters.

Note: Clothing, socks, undergarments, shirts, pants, etc. must be NEW. Outerwear, if in good condition, can be used.

People are in need! Come join us:

WHEN: Saturday December 12th, from 10:00AM to 1:00PM
WHERE: Madeira Field, 88 Tinkham Street, New Bedford, MA. 02746 (see Covid-19 restrictions below)

All proceeds will benefit Child and Family Services Salvation Army, Local Homeless Shelters

Covid-19 Restrictions
This will strictly be a curbside event. “Drive” will be held at 88 Tinkham Street. Club Members will be wearing masks, gloves and or using hand sanitizer.

People dropping off items can place donated items in their trunk. Items will be removed by a club member (preferred method) or
you can remove your items from your vehicle and place it on the table.

Continuing the 106-year tradition, the Feast of the Blessed Sacrament, on July 29, 30, 31 and August 1, 2021, will run for 4 days with free admission and free entertainment, traditional food, wine and much more. Often referred to as the “largest Portuguese feast in the world” thousands will gather for a variety of music, a 5k road race, an expanded family day, a carnival and the largest parade in the Southcoast.
