New Bedford residents of any age who receive their COVID-19 vaccine at specified clinic sites in the city will receive a $20 Dunkin’ gift card with their first dose beginning Saturday, May 29 through June 30, Mayor Jon Mitchell announced Thursday. Eligibility was previously limited to residents age 65 and older.

Dunkin’ gift cards will now be offered to any New Bedford resident receiving the first dose of their vaccines at the Andrea McCoy Recreation Center, New Bedford Health Department mobile clinics and homebound appointments, the Southcoast Health mobile van, and the Greater New Bedford Community Health Center.

The cards will also be available at the last two walk-up clinics available at the Waterfront Vaccination Center at Hervey Tichon Avenue this weekend, Saturday, May 29 and Sunday, May 30, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The center closes Sunday. Vaccinations will be offered at Andrea McCoy Recreation Center, 181 Hillman Street, on Mondays from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., beginning June 7.

The Health Department also operates at-home vaccinations by appointment to the homebound via New Bedford EMS. To sign up for these clinics, residents may call 508-984-2661.

New Bedford first began offering the gift cards, purchased from city-based franchise owners, to residents age 65 and older starting on May 19 (Daly Kenney franchise donated gift cards to the City during the first round). The eligibility expands to all city residents receiving their first dose from May 29 through June 30.
