My child comes home from Keith Middle School every day and he is hungry!
He tells me how the food is and that he doesn’t eat because it’s cold or it’s nasty. Anyway that they can hire someone to cook real meals for these students? He can’t take a picture to prove it because they aren’t allowed to use their phones during school time and they have to be kept in the lockers.
Again he brings snacks and food from home and I’m not made of money to support school lunch when they supply it every day. If that’s the case, extra good stamps should be given out to help bring lunch to school. Something needs to be done to address this and done about this matter.” -Sincerely a single mother.”
Food served in the NBPS are well balanced meals. My mom and many friends work or worked in the cafeterias. No person would serve food to children if it were as you say. Perhaps appreciate that the meals are there for the children. There are many in New Bedford that do not have the privilege of receiving a meal. Many go without anything. The larger schools cook for the smaller schools. Yes, cook. So think before you say the food is nasty and I pay tax dollars which I don’t have to make sure your child is feed. Feed up with unappreciative parents.
