New Bedford firefighters battle blaze at Coggeshall Street Sunoco

On Monday night at approximately 11:05pm, the New Bedford Fire Department received several 911 calls about a fire at a gas station on Coggeshall Street.

Upon arrival to the Sunoco gas station at 170 Coggeshall Street, NBFD discovered a car in the parking full engulfed in fire. Firefighters made quick work of the fire, dousing the flames and and quickly extinguished the flames before they could spread to the gas station pumps or building.

The investigation is in its preliminary stages and the cause is currently unknown. We will update this article when new information becomes available.
