Mirasol’s Cafe in Dartmouth sold

Mirasol’s Cafe, a popular cafe in North Dartmouth, has been sold. The original owner, Richard Romero and his wife, will remain on as partners. The following was released by the newly formed partnership:

“Mirasol’s Café and Richard A. Romero are happy to announce a newly formed partnership with an investment group with sights on continued growth and plans for future expansion. The new group, named SUNFLOWER PARTNERS LLC, is spearheaded by Mr. Luis Raposo of Shorepoint Capital Partners LLC, an SEC-registered investment advisor based in Norwood, MA, providing financial planning and investment management services to individuals, small businesses, and endowments. Mr. Raposo is the co-founder and Chief Investment Officer of Shorepoint and has extensive experience in investing and advising private companies. He has his M.B.A from Suffolk University and his Bachelors from the University of Massachusetts – Dartmouth. He is familiar with the area, having emigrated from the Azores and grew up in Fall River.

Mr. Romero will stay on to grow the brand, develop marketing initiatives, focus on product development and seek future sights to develop into cafes. Mr. Romero and his family have run and operated Mirasol’s Café at the same location since 2006.

Taking over the day-to-day operations will be Mr. Chris Georgiadis. Mr. Georgiadis is moving to the area from New Hampshire with his wife and young family.Having grown up in his family’s restaurant and most recently having owned his own ​Café​, he brings extensive knowledge in food-related business. He and his young family are excited to become a part of the Mirasol’s family as well as the Dartmouth Community and also to carry on the legacy that Richard and his family have created at Mirasol’s ​Café.

Mirasol’s Café, located at 439 State Road, Dartmouth, MA 02747, is a Latin inspired café serving coffee, soups, sandwiches and freshly baked goods. The Café is notably known for serving its signature drink, the CHiPPi. The CHiPPi is a unique highly caffeinated iced coffee that’s only served at this location.

  1. Anytime ‘investors’ are involved in a local business, first they go corporate, then they go crappy, and finally, they go out of business

    It was nice while it lasted. Thirteen years is a pretty good run.

  2. My best friend and I are regulars at Mirasol’s and absolutely love it. I hope they don’t change much. Judging by the lines, I’d venture a guess that many share my opinion!
