On Tuesday, December 17, 2013 at 3:00 p.m., Mayor Jon Mitchell and Fire Chief Michael Gomes will formally recognize the New Bedford Fire Department firefighters who responded to a house fire at 123 Campbell Street on November 23, 2013. The firefighters’ professionalism and quick actions brought all of the building occupants to safety and contained the blaze. The Mayor will present the firefighters with an official resolution in recognition of their professionalism and quick actions at a brief ceremony in New Bedford City Hall.
