The MassDOT Highway Division District 5 is announcing that the Park and Ride lot located on Mount Pleasant Street in New Bedford will be temporarily closed this weekend, Friday, July 13, through Monday, July 16. The closure is necessary to facilitate milling and paving operations.
Half of the Park and Ride lot will be closed during daytime hours on Friday, July 13, for milling operations. The full closure of the lot is scheduled to occur at 8:00 p.m., for paving and restriping operations.
The lot is scheduled to be re-opened at 4:00 a.m., on Monday, July 16.
Traffic management will consist of standard temporary traffic control measures. Police details will be utilized for construction vehicle access and egress.
Drivers who are traveling through the affected areas should expect delays, reduce speed, and use caution.
All scheduled work is weather dependent and/or may be impacted due to an emergency situation.
