MassDOT Schedules Roadway Reconstruction Work on Obery, South Streets in Plymouth

The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) has announced it will be conducting roadway reconstruction operations on Obery Street and South Street in the Town of Plymouth beginning Monday, March 18, 2019 and continuing through April 30, 2019. The work is scheduled to take place weekdays Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

The work will consist of full-depth roadway pavement construction in addition to road widening, stormwater drainage improvements, and traffic signal reconstruction at the intersection of Obery Street and South Street. Two lanes of traffic will be maintained during peak hours from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. and from 3:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Contractor operations may require one-way, alternating traffic between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.

Drivers traveling through the affected areas should expect delays, reduce speed, and use caution. All scheduled work is weather dependent and/or may be impacted due to an emergency situation.
