MassDOT Schedules Overnight Bridge Deck and Joint Repairs on I-195 Ramps

The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) has announced it will be conducting overnight bridge deck and joint repairs on the Interstate 195 ramps over Interstate 495 in Wareham. The work is scheduled to begin on Monday, November 5, 2018, and continue through to Friday, December 7, 2018. The work will occur during the overnight hours of 9:00 p.m., to 5:00 a.m. each week from Sunday through Friday.

The deck and joint repair operations will require overnight closures of I-495/Route 25 exit 1 to I-195 westbound and I-195 westbound exit 22B to I-495 northbound.

The following detours will be in place to facilitate bridge construction operations:

For traffic traveling on Route 25 northbound wanting to access I-195 westbound:
Traffic will be detoured to I-495 exit 2 to I-495 southbound to exit 1 to I-195 westbound

For traffic traveling on I-195 eastbound wanting to access I-495 northbound:
Traffic will be detoured to I-195 exit 22A to Route 25 southbound to exit 2 to I-495/Route 25 northbound

Traffic management will consist of posted detours with police details assisting traffic as needed.

Drivers who are traveling through the affected areas should expect delays, reduce speed, and use caution.

All scheduled work is weather dependent and/or may be impacted due to an emergency situation.
