Massachusetts State Police make Boston Marathon a safe event with help from loyal K-9s

“On Monday morning, Koala, one of our Bomb Squad dogs, got a chance to tell the boss all about her work keeping the public safe.

Colonel Mawn, clearly enamored with his new friend, thanked Koala and her partner, Trooper Gerald Harris Jr., for helping make sure large events like @bostonmarathon are safe for participants and spectators.

Trooper Harris and Koala, who also stopped by the starting line, are part of a large, rigorous, multi-agency explosive ordnance detection mission underway along the race route.”-Massachusetts State Police.
