“Earlier yesterday afternoon, shortly after 4:30pm, our members from State Police Medford as well as K-9 Units responded to the Cambridge District Courthouse located on Mystic Valley Parkway in Medford for reports of a shooting.

Two male parties were involved. Both were known to each other. One of the subjects was pronounced deceased on scene after suffering injuries consistent with both being both run over by a vehicle and shot.

The second party was taken into custody by our Troopers with assistance from local assets. Additional resources, including our members from Crime Scene and Middlesex County SPDU, will continue to investigate this incident.

At this time, no further information is available. We would like to reassure the public that this was an isolated incident and there is NO ongoing threat to public safety.” -State Police Association of Massachusetts.
