“For the first time ever, the 125th Boston Marathon was run in the month of October.

As the leaves fade to autumn colors, runners from across the Commonwealth, the Nation, and the Globe came together to challenge themselves for 26.2 miles.

Colonel Mason visited with MSP members at their roll call prior to deployment early this morning, as well as giving some motivation to our members running the course. Troopers were honored to provide a helping hand along the route to thousands of runners and spectators. We were happy to cheer on the runners and many of our own members as they took on the tough course from Hopkinton through local towns and cities to the finish line on Boylston Street in downtown Boston.

Continue to support your local athletes as they cross the finish line, and as they move on to future endeavors.”-Massachusetts State Police.
