“Last week, while working a construction detail, our Troopers were able to assist in a vehicle stop on a suspect involved in a breaking and entering in Middleboro.

After Troop D Dispatchers put out a BOLO (be on the lookout) for a truck whose owner/operator was believed to have committed the crime, multiple Troopers were ready in place to halt the vehicle and place him into custody. Trooper Quigley spotted the perpetrator shortly before the Bourne Bridge and advised all patrols of this observation.

Trooper Chatigny, Trooper Henson, and Trooper Hatchell all remained positioned in front of the Bourne Barracks ready to activate their emergency lights as the fugitive entered the rotary. Once caught, he was brought to the barracks and then subsequently transported to the Middleboro Police Department.

This is just one example of how law enforcement has the ability to serve and protect our communities in any circumstance, especially when they are working a privately funded detail at no cost to the taxpayer.

The Troopers who managed to stop this suspect have proven once again that Troopers are your best protection on the roadways, whether it be for enforcement or details.” -State Police Association of Massachusetts photo.
