Massachusetts State Troopers, working with Customs and Border Protection, Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport Police, and Framingham Police, last week located and directed the apprehension of a man wanted for raping a child in Framingham.

Last Thursday, Trooper Erik Karlon from the Massachusetts State Police Violent Fugitive Apprehension Section began assisting Framingham Police in locating OCTAVIANANO BOCHE, 48, who was wanted for rape of a child with force. Evidence indicated BOCHE had raped a male child known to him.

Troopers and officers developed information suggesting that BOCHE was in Texas preparing to board a flight to his homeland of Guatemala. Trooper Karlon contacted Massachusetts State Police Troop F at Logan Airport, who assisted in contacting Dallas/Fort Worth International Police and Customs and Border Protection officials in Texas.

Officers set up surveillance within a terminal at Dallas/Fort Worth Airport. Just before 7 p.m. Thursday, the Texas officers observed BOCHE at the airport and took him into custody. The suspect is being held in Texas pending his rendition to Massachusetts.
