Senior Maddie Halstead of Bishop Stang High School to Play NCAA D-2 Field Hockey at Stonehill College

Next fall, Maddie will play Division-2 field hockey with an athletic scholarship at Stonehill College in North Easton, Massachusetts.

Maddie has been a stand-out field hockey player at the Varsity level for four years at Bishop Stang, receiving many all-star awards. Although an injury sidelined Maddie in her senior year, she embraced the role of captain and a was a valuable leader on the team. Maddie is a hardworking, committed player with unparalleled stick work who will be an asset to the Stonehill team.

During the signing, Maddie shared with her friends and family who were present, “I am beyond excited to become a Skyhawk, and to be given this opportunity, both athletically and academically at Stonehill. I am excited to be playing this sport that I love at the school I feel the most comfortable”.
