Lakeville Firefighters answer more than a dozen calls in less than a day

“Lakeville Firefighters answering the call(s).

In addition to this morning’s mutual aid fire, LFD answered more than a dozen other calls over the last 18 hours. These calls included 3 significant vehicle crashes.

On Tuesday at 4:30 pm, vehicles collided at the intersection of Precinct and Rt. 79. Two people were transported to the hospital.

Tuesday nigh at 9:05 pm, a car left the road and struck a utility pole in the area of 82 Main Street. The single occupant of the vehicle was transported ALS to St Luke’s Hospital. Main St. was closed to traffic when the pole and wires fell across the road.

Wednesday at 10:42 am, a vehicle left the road on Highland Road in the area of Racecourse Road, colliding with a utility pole. The occupant refused medical assistance.

Fire Chief Mike O’Brien would like commend his firefighters for their dedication during this stretch of work.”-Lakeville, MA Fire Department.
