Lakeville Fire Department responds to 15 service calls in a 5 hour period

“This message is from Chief O’Brien to the residents of Lakeville:

Today was another challenging day for your Lakeville Firefighters. In a span of about 5 hours, our firefighters handled 15 calls for service; including 9 urgent calls.

The three on-duty firefighters, supported by a host of off-duty and on-call firefighters handled all of these calls without mutual or delayed response!

This achievement is only possible through professionalism and dedication to the community. Instead of taking a breather at the hospital break room, they hustled back to Town. Instead of ignoring the recall to work, they were faithful to their duty to serve.

As some may be aware, our Lakeville firefighters are united in our efforts to improve our department’s apparatus, resources, and facilities to a REASONABLE state of service.

We are united in our efforts to provide maximum value back to our community. The end goal is to provide the best possible service to our people within the limitations of the resources provided. We will do everything we can to make our community safer.

Please join me in commending your Lakeville Firefighters who came through today for their community in a big way.
