New Bedford police hiring domestic violence intern

Want to do something rewarding that could change someone’s life and your own as well? Our domestic violence unit is looking for day interns for the summer and fall semesters. THIS IS FOR COLLEGE STUDENTS ONLY LOOKING TO COMPLETE AN INTERNSHIP FOR THEIR COURSEWORK.

Duties include assisting victims through the restraining order process, accompanying victims to court, filling out required forms and making referrals to appropriate agencies. Interns must have valid drivers’ licenses, clear a criminal background check and, preferably, be students within the criminal justice field, including psychology and sociology.
