District Attorney Quinn, UMass Dartmouth & a Host of Others To Bring the SouthCoast a Field Day To Remember

The family event designed to promote family fun and healthy living.

Bristol County District Attorney Thomas M. Quinn III and UMass Dartmouth are partnering up this year to bring area residents a special one of a kind family fun event to bid farewell to the summer and say hello to autumn.

The first annual Free Family Field Day, which is an outdoor family event designed to promote family fun and healthy living for all ages and abilities, will take place on Sunday September 20th from noon to 4 pm at the UMass Dartmouth Football Field (Cressy Field).

The old fashioned field day will include a wide array of activities for young children, older children and adults. Numerous field day events will be complemented by sports competitions, an inflatable obstacle course. face painting, a family portrait photo booth, free health screenings via the SouthCoast Mobile Health Van, arts and crafts, free giveaways every 30 minutes and free refreshments.

Other organizations have also signed on to be a part of this unique family event to provide even more activities for the entire family. Those organizations include Shakeology, Fun 107, Nellie’s Photo Booth, Our Sister’s School, SMILES Mentoring, South Coast Serves and Healthtrax.

The free event is all about having fun outside with family and friends, getting fit, family building and wellness.

· Fun Obstacle Course with the UMass Dartmouth Fitness Team
· 64 ft Inflatable Obstacle Course and Face Painting Station
· Potato Sack Race, Three Legged Race, Sponge Race
· Hula Hoop Contests, Music and a Giant Volleyball Game
· Dizzy Bat Races, Tug of War and more!!
· Resource Section / Informational Tables Available for Services

Fun 107 Broadcasting live from 2-4 pm with music and promotions, giveaways every 30 minutes.
Food and drinks.
