Want to get your family outside during February vacation? Join the Buzzards Bay Coalition for a series of morning nature walks in New Bedford, Mattapoisett and Fairhaven.

  • Tuesday, Feb. 19 from 9:30-11 a.m. at East Beach in New Bedford
  • Wednesday, Feb. 20 from 9:30-11 a.m. at Nasketucket Bay State Reservation in Mattapoisett
  • Thursday, Feb. 21 from 9:30-11 a.m. at West Island Town Beach in Fairhaven

During the nature walks, the Bay Coalition’s Commonwealth Corps environmental educators will help families learn about nature through scavenger hunts and other fun activities. Guided nature walks are the perfect opportunity for parents, grandparents and caretakers to get children outside and being active during February vacation.

The Bay Coalition’s February vacation family nature walks are free and open to families with children of all ages. Participants should dress appropriately for the weather; wind- and water-resistant outerwear is recommended.
