Evenings of Family Fun Returning To Buttonwood Park Zoo This Summer

First “Zoo Night” of the season kicks off on Friday, May 8

Family fun has never been so wild! Swing by the Zoo and spend the evening with your Zoo friends at the third annual Zoo Nights.

Zoo Nights at the Buttonwood Park Zoo take place from 5:30-8:00pm on the second Friday of every month beginning in May and running through September. Zoo Nights are a unique family-oriented experience featuring themed activities, special guest appearances, educational animal presentations, and unique animal encounters. These special events allow families to not only experience the Zoo during cooler evening nights, but also allow visitors to see the animals in a whole new light!

The first Zoo Night of the season, is titled ZOOfit, and will take place on Friday, May 8th. This themed evening will focus on fun, fitness, and nutrition for both humans and animals! Let the kids have fun and burn off energy on the inflatable obstacle course. They can participate in mini lessons offered by Absolute Martial Arts. Dr. Rocha from St. Luke’s Hospital will engage audiences with his enthusiastic approach to heart health including demonstrations of yoga and cardio exercises that can be performed in the home. And Zoo staff will be conducting multiple keeper chats throughout the evening focused on animal nutrition and wellness programs.
