Driver crashes into Acushnet Dunkin Donuts

A driver crashed into the Dunkin’ Donuts on South Main Street around 12:10 am on Sunday. The driver was traveling down Hope Street, skipped the sidewalk and crashed into the store. The driver received minor injuries and was transported to St. Lukes Hospital.

While police and fireman were on the scene a second vehicle hit a truck parked on South Main Street and drove off. According to a witness on the scene, the police pursued the hit and run vehicle. Acushnet police provided no further details.
