Dartmouth Police Investigate Suspicious Package at Walmart

On Sunday, December 24, 2017 at approximately 5:36 a.m., Dartmouth Police responded to Walmart to investigate a suspicious package located on the north side of the building.

After locating the package, emergency personnel secured the area and requested the assistance of a K-9 trained in the detection of explosives.

After a sweep of the area was conducted by Dartmouth K-9 Officer Christopher Flechsig and his partner “Sig,” it was determined that no explosives were present.

Further evaluation of the package, determined that it was an empty cardboard box which had been sealed.
