New Bedford Energy Challenge

Dear Friend:

New Bedford Energy Now is a city-wide energy program designed to save our residents money and energy, while creating jobs and protecting the planet.

Over one thousand New Bedford residents have already signed up to have their home energy assessments through this program and over 1500 have had their home energy assessment completed. The home energy assessment is completely free and carries no commitment. A home energy expert will visit your home to identify ways to help you save energy and lower your monthly utility bills. During the visit, you can have efficient lightbulbs, showerheads, and programmable thermostats installed, absolutely free.

The home energy expert will also survey your home to evaluate other opportunities, such as insulation or appliances, that if performed will help you save energy. Also, the program will help you take advantage of all available rebates, such as the current 75% off on insulation improvements and 0% interest financing on certain other improvements. So far, over 1500 of your neighbors have taken advantage of this one-stop energy efficiency opportunity. To give the public a chance to learn more about New Bedford Energy Now, we are offering a series of presentations with our partner Next Step Living Inc. to local groups.

We encourage you to take advantage of this fantastic program by first having your home energy assessment. Please RSVP for the presentation location that works best for you at this number 617-429-8844. If you can’t make the presentation but would still like to learn more, call us any time at (855) NB-NOW-4U (626-6948) and/or watch the New Bedford Energy Now video on YouTube.

Please help us reach our goal of weatherizing 5,000 homes!

Sincerely,
Kenneth J. Ramos
