Calico, a vintage clothing boutique in downtown New Bedford, will celebrate its fifth anniversary with a gala at the New Bedford Whaling Museum on 15 Oct at 8 PM.
“We are thrilled to have such a phenomenal space for this party,” says Calico owner, Elissa Paquette, of The Whaling Museum’s Jacobs Gallery.
The party kicks off at 8 p.m. and includes a series of mini-fashion presentations, catered treats, live DJ sets, and a full cash bar. Tickets for the event are $10 in advance and $15 at the door, and are for sale on Calico’s website, shopcalico.com, as well as Calico’s brick and mortar storefront.
Calico, which opened its doors in October of 2005, is located at 173 Union Street, in the heart of New Bedford’s burgeoning downtown.
In the last year, Paquette has launched an e-commerce site, as well as a second Calico location in Providence, RI. She is planning on expanding the store’s new brands and designer labels, as well as bringing in beauty products and fragrances, in the coming year.
“Reaching the five-year mark is really exciting,” said Paquette. “We’re looking forward to what the next five years will bring!”
