Bristol County Sheriff’s Office and Greater New Bedford Voc Tech practice emergency disaster drill

“Our Homeland Security team had a blast (no pun intended) this morning at GNB Voc-Tech with students in the Legal and Protective Services concentration.

We set up an emergency disaster drill, and the students had to go over all the logistics to respond, such as where to divert resources and how to coordinate with other agencies. They used the BCSO Mobile Command Center and coordinated everything from there in real-time while communicating with other students in a different area.

As always, thanks to GNB Voc-Tech teacher Kellie Martin for the invite. This is one activity/lesson out of many we do with the Legal students at GNB Voc-Tech, and they never cease to amaze us at how they process information and respond.”-Bristol County Sheriff’s Office.
