“A joint operation last night by the Massachusetts State Police High Risk Victims Unit, the Boston Police Human Trafficking Unit and other BPD units, and the FBI Child Exploitation and Human Trafficking Task Force resulted in the arrest of a Boston man for human trafficking.

KEON BOGGS, 39, of 112 Southampton St., was charged with human trafficking and trafficking a person for sexual servitude.

The effort, dubbed Operation H.E.A.T., that resulted in BOGGS’s arrest included undercover MSP and BPD personnel, who walked the area of Massachusetts Avenue from Rusfield Street to Chesterton Street in Roxbury. The operation additionally resulted in the issuance of criminal summonses to four men, charging them solicitation of prostitution.

The operation was the latest deployment in the agencies’ ongoing mission to combat high volume of exploitation and other crimes occurring within the targeted area of Massachusetts Avenue and Melnea Cass Boulevard in Boston. Investigators seek to identify and interdict human traffickers as well as those seeking to buy sex from the victims being trafficked to combat both exploitation and demand. Operation H.E.A.T. stands for Human Exploitation and Trafficking.” -Massachusetts State Police.
