“Please join us in welcoming the newest K9 to the BCSO- Captain Jeff Williams’ new partner, K9 Tusko.

Tusko is a 13 month old German Shorthaired Pointer imported from Hungary. Captain Williams chose Tusko as his partner for his high level of drive and eagerness to work. They are already best friends and are excited to get to work together.

The pair will participate in a 12 week Narcotics Detection Academy that will expose Tusko to several different odors of narcotics, teach him scent association, and search patterns. He will learn to search indoors and outdoors as well as motor vehicles, jail cells, and packages. Tusko will also be trained in tracking procedures to find people.

When asked about what he is most looking forward to accomplishing with his new partner, Captain Williams explained, “I am looking forward to ensuring narcotics do not enter our facilities, and keeping both staff and inmates safe.

Welcome to the BCSO K9 Tusko!”-Bristol County Sheriff’s Office.
