During the days of whaling, sewing was an important skill, and a pincushion was essential to sewing. It’s “sew” much fun to join Ruth and Abby, the national park’s 1850s ladies on AHA! (Art, History, Architecture) night for “All Sewn Up,” and learn how to make an old-fashioned pincushion. This event takes place on Thursday, March 13, from 6:00-8:00 PM, at New Bedford Whaling National Historical Park’s visitor center, 33 William Street, downtown New Bedford. As always, the event is open to all, and admission is free. For more information about AHA! night, go to http://www.ahanewbedford.org/
