72-year old Massachusetts woman stabbed in her home allegedly by acquaintance

At about 9:45 a.m. on Saturday police responded to a report of a stabbing that happened at 117 Railroad Avenue in Hamilton, Massachusetts.

Responding officers arrested a 46-year-old woman at the home, taking her into custody without incident while medical personnel treated the 72-year-old victim and transported her to Beverly Hospital for further treatment.

The stabbing victim and the woman who was arrested are known to each other.
