CoaH’s Open House is on Saturday!

Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss! (Fall River) (1:00pm-2:00pm)
Join us in celebrating the birthday of one the world’s best loved children’s authors … Dr. Seuss! Come meet some of his most famous creations including the Cat in the Hat, Horton the Elephant, Thing 1 and Thing 2, and Daisy-Head Mayzie! The afternoon will also include a storytime presented by “The Cat” himself, an easy-to-make craft, and a raffle! Fall River Public Library, 104 N Main St., Fall River.

Grape Stomping Saturdays (Newport, RI) (1:30pm & 3:30pm)
Ever wanted to experience grape stomping? Now’s your chance indoors in the Newport Vineyard’s tank/barrel room. How to participate? Arrive early to purchase a ticket for $1 (cash only, proceeds go to the Newport Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Community Center.) Tickets can be purchased at the host stand when you arrive. No limit on amount of tickets purchased for a greater chance of being picked! Tickets will be drawn at each time slot to pick the participants!

CoaH New Bedford Open House (1:00pm-200pm)
Join us for an Open House to learn more about City on a Hill! Speak with current staff and students about the program and mission of City on a Hill. City on a Hill New Bedford is a tuition free, college prep, public charter high school. We accept students by random lottery for entry into the 9th grade. Our mission is to graduate responsible, resourceful, and respectful democratic citizens prepared for college and to advance community, culture, and commerce, and to compete in the 21st century. We do so by emphasizing academic achievement, citizenship, teacher leadership, and public accountability. Lunch will be provided. RSVP suggested but not required at link below. Wild, Wild Woodcock Walk (5:15pm-6:30pm)
As the snow melts away and the first traces of greenery return to the woods of New England, our breeding birds begin the courtship process. No bird is better to ring in the breeding season than the American Woodcock! Join us as we witness their courtship ritual at dusk. This program is for adults and is $10/members and $12/non-members. “Off Kilter” debuts at The Bar! (10:00pm-1:00am)
Off Kilter makes their first appearance at The Bar in New Bedford, MA. We’ve been looking forward to getting out to this club for our own night for awhile now, and we’ve also been adding new songs to our set, so be sure not to miss this show! The Bar, 266 Dartmouth St, New Bedford.
