Looking to have a fun time, while learning about your nation’s history? The Ft.Taber~Fort Rodman Historical Association Military Museum is hosting the 8th annual WWII Living History Encampment from 9:00am-3:00pm on June 27th and June 28th at Fort Taber.
Admission to the event as well as the museum is FREE. Veterans are greatly encouraged to come and be part of the annual program. USO reception for WWII veterans and their families inside the museum from 5:00pm to 7:00pm on Saturday.
The Axis Forces will use batteries Walcott and Gaston on the East side of Fort Rodman and the Aliied Forces will use the coast and Battery Cross plus the Panama Mount area on the West Side. We are inviting various WWII vehicle clubs to display vehicles in front of the Stone Fort where the motor pool was during WWII.
Each day at 1:00pm there will be a flyover from a 1943 Navy SNJ-15 Fighter Trainer and plenty of battle demos. There will be a Police detail on site both Friday night and Saturday night. The re-enactors of both Axis and Allies will be standing guard duty in rotating shifts.
We are a Non Profit 501c Association our Military Museum is staffed 100% by Volunteers and most of us are Veterans.
Sad that there is no room in the whole outside area for a 10 X 10 booth so veterans, their spouses and children could find help cutting through government red tape and get help navigating the government red tape to get what they deserve for serving our country.
