Student stabbed at UMass Dartmouth

From the UMass Dartmouth Police:

UMass Dartmouth Police are investigating an incident in which a student was apparently stabbed during an altercation in his Cedar Dell apartment at about 11:23 p.m.. Witnesses at the scene also reported that a firearm was displayed. The incident was reported at 11:23 p.m on Thursday, October 23. The victim, conscious and alert, was transported to Rhode Island Hospital. Police are treating this case as an isolated incident. UMD Police are pursuing several active leads and are confident the campus is secure with no imminent threat. Massachusetts State Police are assisting with the investigation.
