South Coast Chamber Music invites you to celebrate Valentine’s Day with Sweethearts

The New Bedford Symphony Orchestra’s South Coast Chamber Music Series opens the second half of its 2015-16 season on February 13 & 14. South Coast Chamber Music invites you to celebrate Valentine’s Day with Sweethearts, featuring a bonbon (Milhaud’s Suite), a banquet (St. Saens’ second Piano Trio), and “Intimate Letters,” the ravishing string quartet written by Janacek for his coy (but, alas, platonic) mistress. NBSO’s Emmy Holmes-Hicks (violin) and Margo McGowan (clarinet) join Piotr Buczek (violin), Don Krishnaswami (viola), Timothy Roberts (cello), and Janice Weber (piano) in paeans to the many faces of love.

Saturday’s performance is at 5pm at St. Gabriel Church, 124 Front Street, Marion. Sunday’s performance is at 4pm at Grace Episcopal Church, 133 School Street, New Bedford. Tickets for both performances are $20 at the door. Visit www.nbsymphony.org for information and directions.
