The Schwartz Center Hosts 6th Fishing for a Cause Tournament

What: The 6th Annual Meeting Street and Schwartz Center Fishing for a Cause Tournament, one of the organization’s largest fundraisers of the year, returns to local waters June 24th and 25th. Recreational boats of any size are encouraged to participate in the catch-and-release striped bass, bluefish, and fluke tournament. Trophies and prizes up to $2,500 will be awarded to the angler with the largest fish by length in each division.

Following the fishing tournament, comedian and television star Lenny Clarke will serve as the master of ceremonies at a seaside dinner and awards ceremony, including a live auction and dancing. The 2015 event raised more than $200,000 to benefit the thousands of children and families the organization serves each year.

Registration for the tournament is $250/person, and includes the dinner and awards ceremony. Tickets for the dinner only are available for $175/person. For more information and to register, visit www.meetingstreet.org/ffac

2 p.m. Fishing submissions end
