This morning at approximately 11:30am north end New Bedford police officers responded to the 200 block of Sawyer St. regarding a male being shot outside of his apartment. The victim, a 32 year old man, stated that he had been shot in the legs a couple of times by someone he knows. A motive is unknown at this time.
He was transported to Rhode Island Hospital with non life threatening injuries. New Bedford police detectives are working on identifying the suspect. Anyone with information is asked to contact Detectives at 508-991-6300 ext. 320.
