Dartmouth High School Theatre Company presents Legally Blonde the Musical

Legally Blonde follows the story of Elle Woods, sorority president of Delta Nu, on her journey to find love at Harvard Law School

Dartmouth High School Theatre Company presents Legally Blonde the Musical. Performances will be held April 10th through April 12th at 7:00 p.m. with a matinee performance on April 12th at 2:00 p.m. Legally Blonde follows the story of Elle Woods, sorority president of Delta Nu, on her journey to find love at Harvard Law School. There she realizes that she can use the law to help others. She takes on a trial to show the world that being true to yourself can have great rewards. Based on the 2001 novel by Amanda Brown, the show opened on Broadway in 2007.

Directed by Denis Lawrence, Jr. and Shirley Guerreiro, the show promises to be a huge hit! “Legally Blonde has some hilarious moments”, said Lawrence, “but it also sends a message about the importance of perseverance and being yourself”. The role of Elle Woods will be played by Senior, Amy de Silva. “I have dreamed of playing Elle since I saw the musical several years ago”, said Silva. “I am honored to take on this role with such a wonderful case and crew!”

Legally Blonde also features Nicholas Richard (Warner Huntington III), Sabrina Guilbeault (Paulette) Allison Paiva (Vivienne Kensington), Jordan Pinto (Brooke Wyndam), Joe Lebossiere (Emmet) and Patrick Kitchen (Professor Callahan). The thirty five member cast also includes, Delta Nu sorority girls, Mikayla Correia, Alyssa Maitoza, Allison Morrisette, Emma Clune, Paige Cabral, Abby Rego, Stacie Hartman, Nicole Ponte, Kristina Georgadarellis, and Cameron Coelho. Seniors David Thomas and Jake Perreira will be playing multiple roles. Perreira will play Elle’s Dad and Grandmaster Chad, while Thomas takes on the roles of Padamadan and Kyle (the UPS guy). Rounding out the rest of the cast are Katie Ferland, Abigail Richard, Elizabeth Ripley, Colin Burke, Keegan Espinola, Zane Furtado, Andrea Oliveira, Lucy Schwartz, Lance Pfeninger-Racine, Philip Rausley-Szuszuiewicz, Anicia Farias, Vanessa Farias, Crista Soares, Ashley Mouri, Jack Dias and Francis Howard.

Tickets are $12 for adults and $10 for students and seniors. Reserve tickets by calling 508-961-7200 ext. 402. Tickets can also be purchased at the Box Office at DHS Tuesday and Thursday nights beginning March 24th as well as at the door. Please be advised that the show is rated PG-13.
