Reflecting on The Zeiterion’s 35-year history, Senator Montigny adds, “I would like to thank the board and staff for their dedication to the Z and its vital role in not only preserving the rich cultural experience the theatre has provided for so many years, but to also expand the venue as a regional player, attracting top talent from both near and far. At the same time, the Z has not lost its focus on the importance of providing access to arts for local children and their families, which is absolutely critical towards maintaining a bright and thriving community.”

The party will move into the theater at 3:00 p.m. for a big-screen viewing of the 1982 movie “E.T. – The Extra Terrestrial.” The movie, released the year The Z was founded, is the unforgettable journey of a lost alien and the 10-year-old boy he befriends, directed by the Academy Award-winning Steven Spielberg.
