Freetown Fire Department battles car fire on Rt. 140

“D company along with Station 2 on call personnel responded to a Car Fire on Route 140 north last evening.

Response was Car 1, Car 2 , Engine 3 and Engine 2. Routes 140 and 24 are both very hazardous areas of operation for Public safety to work.

We have implemented the practice of “blocking a lane” with fire apparatus to aid in keeping our crews safe.

Please slow down and move over when approaching emergency vehicles on the highway.”-Freetown Fire Department.
