Woman with revoked license, uninsured vehicle part of Johna’s Hair Salon crash

Two women were charged early Sunday after a motor vehicle accident that damaged Johna’s Hair Salon, 765 Kempton St at 12:09 a.m.

A vehicle driven by Heidi Neimic, 46, 670 Plymouth Ave, Fall River, was traveling east on Kempton St. and attempting to turn left onto Hunter Street when the vehicle was struck in the rear by a vehicle driven by Jennifer Pimental, 35, of 109 Pierce St. Apt. 2, New Bedford.

Both vehicles then struck Johna’s Hair Salon. Fire officials and building inspectors deemed the building unsafe.

Neimic was charged with driving with a revoked license, driving an uninsured vehicle and illegally attaching plates.

Pimental was charged with negligent operation of a motor vehicle and driving without a seat belt.
