There were at least FOUR overdoses reported to the police today in New Bedford. Here’s a look at a young female who passed out on a porch on Nye Street then ran to the corner on Tallman Street where she passed out from a reported overdose around 10am. New Bedford Fire Department can be seen administering Narcan with the assistance of Dartmouth EMS.

Showing this video adds no substantive value to the story. It merely adds a voyeuristic appeal and does not respect the privacy of the woman who overdosed. Clearly, she is at a very difficult point in her life and her addiction. Can we offer some empathy by not broadcasting this video to the general public and by affording her a modicum of privacy?
