At approximately 8:30 am, police received a call reporting a vehicle travelling East on Route 6A in East Sandwich struck a turkey that was crossing the roadway. The bird crashed through the windshield of the 2007 Kia Sportage, and passed between the driver and the unoccupied passenger seat.
