Winter Storm Warned Cancelled – mix of snow, sleet and freezing rain overnight

The National Weather Service in Taunton has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for a mix of light snow…sleet and freezing rain…which is in effect until 5 AM EST Monday. The Winter Storm
Warning has been cancelled.

* LOCATIONS…Northern Rhode Island through Bristol and Plymouth Counties in Massachusetts.

* HAZARD TYPES…Periods of light snow, sleet and freezing rain.

* ACCUMULATIONS…3 to 5 inches of snow, including today’s snowfall.

* TIMING…A wintry mix will linger through midnight. Some accumulating snowfall returns early tomorrow morning.

* IMPACTS…Snow and ice accumulations will make many roads slippery. The weight of the snow and ice on tree limbs and power lines could produce isolated outages. Strong winds will lead to blowing snow…reduced visibility… and additional power outages.

* WINDS…Northwest 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 45 mph toward morning.
