Wareham police looking for burglar who used sledgehammer to break into Wreckless Hobbies

The Wareham Police Department is seeking the public’s help in identifying a suspect in a break and entering which occurred on Thursday, February 21, at about 3:20 a.m.

Wareham Police responded to 3086 Cranberry Highway, the Wreckless Hobbies shop for an alarm. Upon arrival, Officer Ryan Gomes found the front door to be shattered and it was later determined multiple items stolen.

Footage from a security camera shows a white Chevrolet sedan with a fake registration plate drive by the business before pulling into the lot. Shortly after parking the suspect stepped from the vehicle and smashed the door with a sledgehammer to enter the business. After the crime was completed the vehicle fled eastbound on Cranberry Highway toward Bourne.
