Wareham police arrest one and seize crack and powder cocaine, heroin, pills, and cash

At about 7:55 p.m. on Thursday, June 13, Wareham Police Officers Joseph Cardoza, Nate Aronson, and Michael Phinney responded to Brandy Hill Apartments, unit 9L, for a reported disturbance. While investigating, Officer Aronson spotted a large amount of white powdery substance and a digital scale on the kitchen table.

A male in the apartment was detained and officers further located suspected crack cocaine, powder cocaine, suspected heroin, several pills, and over $2,300 cash. Placed under arrest was Nicholas C. Marchi, 32, of Plymouth.

He is charged with possession with intent to distribute a Class “A” drug and two counts of possession with intent to distribute a Class “B” drug. A detective and reserve officer Eric Kanavos assisted at the scene. Officer Phinney was treated and released from Tobey Hospital for a minor injury incurred while searching the suspect.
