“It was a busy day so far for the Wareham Fire District yesterday!!!
At around noon today, the duty crew responded mutual aid to Onset for their compactor fire on C W Bishop Avenue. The duty crew then stood by at Onset HQ for station coverage.
After they returned back to their District, there were multiple calls received in regards to a brush fire off Glen Charlie Road caused by a downed live wire. A breaker, an engine and the Chief responded. Eversource was also called in to cut the power to the area so that the fire could be put out completely. The power has since been restored.
Meanwhile, call back crews from Station-1 and Station-2 responded to multiple calls during this time. From mulch fires to utility wire problems and even a residential fire alarm activation!!!” -Wareham Fire Department.
