UPDATE: New Bedford police officer struck by dirt bike released from hospital

As of this morning, Tuesday the 1st of November we are pleased to announce that Sgt. Candido Trinidad has been released from Rhode Island Hospital. He was released late last night and is home recovering. As result of further investigation two additional males will be charged and summonsed. They are:

Franco Santos of New Bedford
1. Reckless operation of a recreational vehicle
2. Unlawful operation of a recreational vehicle on a public way
3. Disturbing the peace

Nicholas Santiago of Fall River
1. Reckless operation of a recreational vehicle
2. Unlawful operation of a recreational vehicle on a public way
3. Disturbing the peace
